From Humble Beginnings (Fall 2017)

This set of photos are all the good photos I got from my very first year using a camera! Fresh out of high school I went away to Florida to college LOL honestly just cause I wanted to be somewhere with palm trees. During my short time at FAU I made incredible friends and we would go on random ass adventures all over south Florida. I would just capture the moments and take pics on my phone of our random wild college adventures. My best fucking friend in the whole world Evelyn would hype up my photos for no reason loll and convinced me to pursue photography. Unfortunately the school I was at didn’t have a photography program so I had to go back home to Long Island (which turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made). I got home after a year of school in Florida and transferred to the local community college by my house Suffolk. My dad gave me his old camera cause I needed an actual camera for class. THE CLASSES WERE AMAZING!! The teacher John Chris a true master and half of the famous historical photographers he taught about he actually worked for and printed some of their work. He was such good teacher too and the whole environment/community at Suffolk got me hooked on learning more. The following 100 or so photos are from when I first ever touched an actual dslr. I was brand new to photography and was still figuring out my style and how to properly use my camera. I brought the energy and spirit of adventure I learned in Florida but this time captured the moments using a legit camera. I would just hangout with my friends after class and document what we were doing, whether the be skateboarding, chasing sunsets or exploring abandoned places. Just capturing random moments of youth with my friends while figuring out how to use my new camera. This was truly the start of my photographic journey. and some of these photos are still some of the best Ive ever taken. I vividly remember when I shot the silhouette photo at sunset (the yellow and orange one) I looked at it and that was the first time I thought hmm, maybe this photography stuff. is for me.
