vegas 2018
This trip was fucking phenomenal and would kickstart a tradition of going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving and exploring the southwest. We fly into Vegas than drove to Arizona and Utah to check out Zion national park, the Grand Canyon and Flintstones Land. Right next to Vegas is valley of fire state park and it is fucking phenomenal. There might be no better feeling that roaming around a mars like landscape with your two best friends at sunset. Plus I borrowed an infrared camera from my college so some of the pics I got truly felt out of this world. Saw some cool wild life too while exploring and also accidentally stepped on a cactus LOLLL idk how i’m dumb and didn’t see it. The highlight of the trip tho might be at Flintstones land. For those of you who don’t know what that is , it’s a place in the middle of the desert that is made to look like the Flintstones. They also criminally undercharge you loll cause it is such a cool unique location and it only costs 5 dollars to get in. Idk how they stayed in business for so long (they closed in 2020). But yeah anyway, the best memory from the trip was when my mom ate complete shit. There is this giant Dinosaur slide that simulates like your riding down Dinos tale like Fred did in the show. I guess my mom didn’t know how big of a slide it was because she went down it and ate the bottom completely faceplanted….. and stayed still for like minute. Didn’t move at all. We were all kinda nervous at first but once we realized she was ok and laughing we all died laughing too. LOLL it doesn’t sound funny but it was a you had to be there moment, in person it was funny af and def a movement I won’t forget. How often does your mom faceplant off a dinosaur?? Def not gonna forget that or the whole trip. This trip solidified my love for the southwest and made me wanna go back asap.
